Caring Hearts

When there is a funeral in the parish, a member of this ministry contacts the family to help them plan the details of the Liturgy. The goal of this ministry is to reach out to our fellow parishioners in love and caring at this most sensitive time.

Social Ministry to the Homebound

The mission of the Social Ministry to the Homebound is to provide companionship to the homebound parishioners of St. Mary’s and give them a sense of community. Parish volunteers visit our homebound whose activities and socialization is limited. During visits, the volunteers interact with the client according to their capabilities and needs, while adhering to the Diocese guidelines. Some of the recommended activities are, but not limited to, playing cards and board games, watching TV programs, playing a musical instrument, and engaging in conversation that sparks the client’s interest.
